Social media have entered into our lives and for most of us they play a very important role. The projection of our lives through these media has reached alarming dimensions and is causing problems not only within each person, but also to the wider society.
Unfortunately, a large amount of people, and especially young ones, are at risk of losing their “identity“, their “ego“ and at the same time they identify themselves through the social media.
The self promotion lurks dangers for the people and they are not only physical, but mostly psychological, as they attempt to expel or even worse to hide the bad things and situations in their lives, in order to present in the social media another self. Obviously, online relationships are easier, as they are impersonal, but actually these relationships alter our “ego“. I think that many people wait for the moment where they will do something in their lives with the aim to post it on social media and be accepted by their online friends.
The dependence from the social media is large and its roots are everyone`s experiences. The internet is here to fill the gaps of our boring life, the lack of education, the frustration, the marginalization, the lack of everything necessary in a person`s life…
